Where power-line lighting control can fit
Where conditions allow, control can travel over power wiring to reduce separate signal runs.
Useful where new signal cabling is difficult
Some retrofits and distributed light positions cannot easily accept new signal cables. Where circuit conditions are suitable, power-line control can use the existing power wiring for communication.
Check site conditions first
Power quality, topology, loads, branches and interference all affect the solution, so the site must be reviewed first.
Keep what remains suitable
Review existing fixtures, protocols, power and wiring; retain suitable equipment and add only what the project needs.
